XD Inspired by the recent release of HP7, but totally spoiler-free.

I was thinking about what houses the ATLA characters would be in (it was a boring car ride) and Zuko was too good not to draw. :D

See, Aang and Toph are brave (toph could've also been a Hufflepuff, who's hard working, but I already had two characters for that); Sokka is brilliant; Azula and Co are cunning and ambitious; Zuko and Katara are hard-working and loyal. Zuko is not very happy about that. TEE HEE. I love to torture him. ;-)

Characters: Toph, Aang, Sokka, Mai, Azula, Ty Lee, Zuko and Katara
Time Taken: 2ish hours
Media: Photoshop

(BTW: the words are from the CoS sorting song.)

Zuko!!!! HUFFLEPUFF! you evil!!!! he's griffindor! I feel it!!!!! and Katara is also a Ravenclaw!!!!! I know that she is!!!! (cries)

And Roku would be in Dumbledore's seat... yay sweet.

And as Minerva.... Kyoshi? Ursa? Joo_De? I gotta love your idea! I never thought about a crossover between Harry and Avatar.... you rock!

I wouldn't put Mai and Ty Lee in Slytherin, actually. Neither has super-high ambition; Ty Lee seems more like a Hufflepuff. She works hard, she doesn't really give up at anything....and Mai would probably be a Ravenclaw or Gryffindor.

Zuko would be a Slytherin without a doubt, but really, for the purposes of the comic, he's full-blown Hufflepuff.

Katara would probably be Gryffindor, too. :)

When Toph punches Aang, it's called chemistry; when Mai teases Zuko, it's called insensitivity.
Nah, Zuko's too chicken to be Gryffindor. Besides, mostly heroes are in that house. :D

And Katara's never shown herself to be particularly smart...

Ty Lee gets in more on cunning than anything else, really! She tricks people by acting all sweet an innocent. And Mai is there just by default, 'cause Azula is.

I don't think Zuko would be a Slytherin at all! Let's face it: the kid is not especially bright, all his plans suck so he's not cunning, and he's never shown any real ambition of his own. He just wants to do what his father wants him to (loyalty) and works at it really hard. So, very Hufflepuff. Iroh, however, is a total Slyth.

Katara's a lot more loyal and hard-working than she is brave, as well. Of course all the characters in both series show a little of all the traits, but I thought really hard about what trait they showed THE MOST.

Er. I have no idea why I care so much. *cough* sorry for getting all tl;dr there.

No real ambition of his own??? He states his goals repeatedly, and eventually decides that they ARE his goals. He's a situation that is very, very similar to Draco Malfoy.

Iroh's either Slytherin, Hufflepuff, or Ravenclaw. I'd actually say Ravenclaw--wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure.

Don't think so little of Mai to just pair her with Azula--she's defied Azula more than once. Of course, she may be ambitious--but Hufflepuff, hard-working, might be hers. Excitement and such. "Finally, something to do."

Katara's the only one who would stay with Aang when he was in his Avatar State--it took a lot of courage. And loyalty belongs to the Gryffindors, as well. ^_^

Nope -- courage belongs to the Gryffindors. Peter Pettigrew was a Gryffindor, and Jo's said more than once that the sorting hat doesn't make mistakes. But yeah, Katara and Sokka were almost gryffindor themselves, with Bumi in Ravenclaw and just Zuko in Hufflepuff, except I didn't have a reference for Bumi at the time.

He shares his father's ambition, and is driven by it. Again, I think that shows more loyalty than ambition, and the poor boy has absolutely no cunning. You can have more than one trait of the houses, it just has to be your DEFINING trait that gets you sorted.

But what about the whole Blue Spirit thing?

Good point! I'd forgotten about it (shows what a zuko fan i am, right?).

Ah well. 'tis a silly joke.
